hi, I am generating reports using sculpture. I got this error
"The Source of the report definition has not been specifie."
can someone help me?

The tt file must be a text file-format(not C#). may be solve your problem.
BTW, did you have Sculpture 2.1 , could you share setup-files with me? thanx.

Hi All!
I have a problem with sculpture toolboxes. After the setup of the lastest version (March 3) I have tried to generate a site and all seems to be ok.
Now I'm trying to create entities but I cannot see or activate (from View > Other Windows > Sculpture Details or Sculpture Properties) any toolbox.
I can see only two empty tabs on my IDE... (I have attached my IDE with the two empty tabs..).

Can somebody help me please??

I am also facing the same problem and because of this I am not getting the mideling window it is only showwing the xml editor.

Hi,

first of all i have to tell you that Sculpture is really a great project.
I watched your videos and now I'm starting working with source codes.

Unfortunately I'm not able to compile Sculpture solution.

I recive this strange error in MoldEditor project:

"Error 1 The command ""C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 SDK\VisualStudioIntegration\Tools\Bin\RegRiched20.exe"" exited with code 3."

I googled this message without success.
Can you help me please?

Are you on 64-bit Windows?
If so, try changing the path to "Program Files (x86)" instead of just "Program Files".

Data contract, Service Contract, Fault Contract, Entity data transfer service implementation as "WcfServiceLibrary " which i as able to select from drop down where when I'm try to mention "host project" and sleeted drop down i'm not getting any value/project and final handcode/hardcode the value for this project and tried to generate code , getting following error "Host proejct details not set" i have attached the screen shots pleas have look into this and tell me best way to fix it thanX

even i could not see the Sculpture Details window.
with this (View > Other Windows > Sculpture Details or Sculpture Properties ) but vs do nothing.

Hi,

My database is very simple - two tables each with a PK. The child table store the parent table's PK as the FK. It is a simple one to many relationship. When I generate nHibernate, the parent map has a one-to-many relationship but the "Inverse" is set to true. In the child map, there is no many-to-one generated but instead, the parent FK is mapped. As a result, I have to manually set the FK of the child before insert. nHibernate does not persist the relationship between the parent and the child. What have I done wrong?

Hello,

I’ve been building your intro project using different combinations…checking out the tool. WCF, LINQ, WPF works without issue but when I run with WCF, DAAB, WPF a “null reference exception” is thrown on a GetAll or Insert. Looks like an IQ call is trying to do a property get on a null <Entity> built from extensible object (no constructor called for <EntityType>). Curious on your thoughts…

WCF & DAAB are not compatible. I have NHibernate working successfully with WCF but am not satisfied with it as NHibernate is not stateless (I don't think). Correct me if I'm wrong - but even after making changes to web.config, NHibernate is still holding locks on the database.

I was creating a new project using the Sculpture Starter Kit Solution, exactly like that in the video except I chose CSLA instead of NHibernate. Before the dialog for selecting the database reference appears, an exception is thrown. The attached file shows the error dialog. Below is the stack trace:

I have tried many different combinations and all have failed with this Add UI Project failure. I have VS2008 SP1 standard installed, Asp.net MVC 1.0, Guidance Extensions Feb 2008 release and Sculpture 1.0 final and it fails on windows forms, asp.net, asp.net mvc. The failure must be related to something other than the ui part imo possibly the service class library.

I have successfully created a sample modal with NHibernate, WCF and WPF . After that I export it to different name to switch into ASP.net application. I have done all setting. From Sculpture Model explorer on clicking Generate button I got two error as given below.

This happens to me in any project type. I have Asp.net MVC, Silverlight etc installed in VS 2008 with .Net 3.5, always null ref exception in "Add UI Project" Action

Hi there, I have similar problem more precisely "Object reference not set to an instance of an object", I created a new project using Microsoft SQL Server, MVC, DAAB and WCF with one single Entity with two fields (ID and Title), when running I got null reference exception raised from GetAllIQ() call from within the <Entity>RepositoryBase's GetAll() method.

It looks like when the application call the set{} accessor to any of the properties of this Entity e.g.

if (this._entityData.DinnerID != value) // here the _entityData field is null for some reason one of the constructors used to initialise this field don't get called so that we got this error.
