Welcome to the Sculpture 1.0 Final !

Sculpture 1.0 Final is the first production release of Sculpture.
It is quite similar to the beta 2.

Main changes are:

Eliminating the installation problems (One installation for all Sculpture components).
Fixing all issues about the generation of WCF & ASMX service proxy.

Pre-requisites:

You will need the following development environment to install and use Sculpture:

Visual Studio 2008 SP1.
Guidance Automation Extensions - February 2008.

Warning: You MUST uninstall any previous versions of Sculpture before installing this version.

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - I initially rated this product to 4 stars because of some annoying glitches/crashes while designing the entities. It took me some time to cool down and realize that for a beta 2 version, the few problems i encountered are not such a big thing. Actually my expectations were so high because one can see upfront that this is a first-class piece of software, a swiss army knife in each developer's belt.

Rated 4 Stars (out of 5) - It was difficult to rate this project. The concept clearly deserves 5 stars but the actual implementation is far from optimal, rather highly unstable. Maybe integration between Sculpture and the IDE is not that fortunate in this early stage of the project. Overall conclusion: a project that definitely has great potential.

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - Absolutely remarkable software. This is what every developer wants to write, but doesn't. Any choice of business object layer, any choice of UI framework, any data access technology. Truly outstanding! For an encore, how about making a Flex UI option! :)

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - It is a delicious piece of software. From my pov, this is the way software will be developed in a near future. In fact Microsoft will promote MDA/MDD in Visual Studio 2010 so I amb very glad about it. Now I am using Andro MDA (Java Enterprise Edicion MDA) and I think this is much usable and powerful.

This release makes Sculpture floating on the surface of the ocean presents its potentials in the Model-Driven development by generating a user interface from the Models, More abstraction implemented in the model elements to facilitate the model configuration phase, and our gift in this release is the Sculpture Starter Kit to start Sculpture project with all layers in no time.
We fix all known issues in the engine and the published Molds, We employee the modular design of sculpture to produce more and more Molds, and give new facilities while designing the model.
This is the nearest release to the final version of Sculpture1.0. Includes all Molds (SQL Server, DAAB, LINQ, NHibernate, CSLA, Library, ASMX, WCF, Windows Forms, WPF, Silverlight, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC).

'MoldBase 14-9-08' Includes many bug fixes for issues in the 1.0 Beta release, along with a number of functional improvements.

We highly recommend that anyone using Sculpture 1.0 Beta upgrade its MoldBase to this release.

How to Install

Go to the Sculpture Installed Directory\Molds.
Overwrite the already exist MoldBase:

Delete the folder 'MoldBase'.
Extract 'MoldBase Binaries' ZIP file in the Molds directory.
